Just wondering...
A friend who lives in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains has noticed more than the usual amount of mice and spiders in her house, and foxes and coyotes in her yard. Bears grabbing anything, and rutting elk charging anything that moves. After we chatted about this for a bit, we surmised it could be because animals are usually better at knowing when winters are going to be rough. Perhaps they are getting ready for this difficult winter?
Has anyone else noticed an unusually high invasion of critters in or around their home?

We are overrun with Hobo spiders. My husband was bit on the leg and you could see the fang marks. I also had to brush a huge one off his back. God knows how it got there. Big spiders! We're getting someone in to spray them.
I've seen a lot more spiders and other creepy crawlies this year too. Not to mention squirrels and birds. My cats are also putting in some really thick undercoats this year.
Haven't seen more than normal but do get the feeling that this is goin' ta be a real cold winter.
Thanks for the comments. It's interesting to see a nearly-birdless sky, or the invasion of mice in friend's houses. Gotta make sure we use thick plastic airtight tubs and clean but used icing buckets for our storage. Can't leave it to chance!
Maybe a few more spiders. But everything else has been pretty much normal.
Bears did kill my chickens a couple of months back. But that is not unusual. They did the same thing last time I tried to have chickens 4 years back.
Ive had massive spider invasion dont know what they are . they are like daddy long legs but with big fangs and they keep there egg sacks with them.
